Why Become A Knight?

Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference. Knights of Columbus are practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older who are committed to making their community a better place while supporting their Church.
Being a Knight is more than camaraderie:

• it is being involved with your community
• it is supporting your local Catholic Church while enhancing your own faith
• it is about protecting and enhancing your family life

In 2019 alone, in addition to raising and donating more than $187 million to charitable needs and projects, the Knights of Columbus volunteered more than 77 million hours of their time to charitable causes. We undertake these acts of charity because we see those in need through the eyes of Faith. Moreover, in the Knights of Columbus we approach these acts of charity together.

The Knights of Columbus was founded by Father Michael McGivney in 1882 to promote the Catholic Faith and to provide financial assistance to widows and orphans. The Order has grown to more the 16,242 Councils and over 2.0 million members. Immaculate Mary Council 16244 was started in June 2015. There are currently about 85 brothers working together to deepen our faith, strengthen our families, vibrate our parish and evangelize our community. Come join us.
