Faith Formation
Welcome
Praised be Jesus Christ!
Welcome to the Faith Formation area of our website! We proclaim Jesus Christ and teach the Catholic faith and doctrine on Wednesday evenings. We also prepare children for the sacraments. Understanding that age groups differ in how best to be engaged by our incredible Catholic Faith, we have developed a course-elective based high school program where students choose and select from optional and required courses. Throughout the different courses there is a strict adherence to the Catholic faith. Using Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition we explore the deep riches of Catholicism. The High School program offers a flexible schedule which allows our students to maintain multiple commitments and their primary faith. Our grade and middle school programs offer two different time offerings to better fit busy schedules. We also work with home school families. Call us for a guide and to answer questions.
Classes start Sept. 15th-Get those registrations in!
Join us for prayer every night of Faith Formation
On FF nights at 6:45ish we will be praying the Liturgy of the Hours. If you are a 6pm parent coming to pick up your children or a 7:15 parent or student come pray with us. You don’t need to know how to pray the Liturgy of the Hours-we will show you.
High School:
Our high school program requires nine total classes to be completed for a student to enter Confirmation. Six required courses and three elective courses make up the nine. Click ___ to view our required courses. Click ___ to view the elective courses we offer.
Parents:
The Parent Meeting is at 6pm on Wed. September 8th to be followed by our opening liturgy at 6:30. Please join us for the informational meeting and Holy Mass.
Home school families:
If you are a home school family please contact the Faith Formation office to register your children. This enables us to keep contact with your family and get an idea of the material you are covering with your children. This also helps us keep better records to keep you informed of things coming up in your child’s formation.

Pro-Life
Last January some of our students went on the March for Life in Washington D.C. If your child would like to get involved in the pro-life opportunities we have for our youth, please contact the FF office.
There are many other opportunities to get involved locally in the fight against abortion, euthanasia, and the other aspects of our culture that attack the dignity of life. Join staff from St. Mary’s in the local Pro-Life activities.
Defending the Faith
Defending the Faith is a program designed to help students prepare for the attacks on their faith they will experience as they head off to college. This program was not offered this past summer but we are considering doing this again in 2011. Please let us know if you are interested in this.
