Program Overview
Our program here at St. Mary's is exciting and faithful to the Magisterium of Holy Mother Church. Classes begin for students in the first grade. During the second grade students reach the age of reason and receive Christ's forgiveness in the Sacrament of Penance (confession) and then receive Jesus Christ, body; blood; soul; and divinity in the Most Holy Eucharist. Our program utilizes the Faith and Life Series by Ignatius Press through the 8th grade year. Following that students move into the high school curriculum which is course based and consists of required courses and elective courses. Summer classes for high school enable busy students and student athletes to take classes in a less hectic time of the year. In 11th grade or after the completion of the 6 required and 3 electives courses students are admitted into Confirmation. This is the last formal catechesis which sends the newly Confirmed out into the world to spread and defend the faith.
