We want to pray & serve with you.  There are numerous ways to get involved here: Bible Studies, Choir, Mom's Group, Giving Tree, CARE Ministry, Adult Faith Speakers, etc.  Please review the opportunities at our parish to expand and deepen your faith and increase the faith of others.

We are always on the lookout for people to help with the various ministries in the Mass.  Below you will find the various liturgical ministries and select a ministry or two that speaks to you.

 

holycommunionExtraordinary Minister of Holy Communion:  Extraordinary ministers help the clergy to distiribute Holy Communion so that it can be done in a reasonable amount of time.  Extraordinary ministers can either disitribute the Body of Christ or the Chalice of Christ's Blood.  Those who volunteer for this ministry should have a deep and profound love for Holy Eucharist, must be a Confirmed Catholic, and have steady hands.

Lector:  Lectors proclaim the Word of God.  Lectors typically read the announcements before Mass, do both readings (Old & New Testaments) and offer the petitions.  Lectors should love Sacred Scripture, be strong readers, and be comfortable in front of an audience.  To get on the Lector schedule contact

Sacristan: Sacristans prepare the church for Mass.  They are responsible for placing the vessels in the church, unlocking doors, finding extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and various other tasks.  If you would like be a sacristan or learn about what they do, contact Deacon Dave DeYoung at 757-6555 ext. 201 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Altar Servers:  Altar Servers help prepare the church for Mass, line up Extraordinary ministers, purify the sacred vessels, unlock the church and help straighten things out after Mass. Altar Servers should be willing to arrive early and stay late for Mass.  To begin training to become an Altar Server contact Deacon Dave DeYoung at 920-757-6555.

Ushers:  Ushers help the parish community in a number of ways.  They help parishioners find their way into pews when Mass is full, aid the collection of parish support, hand out bulletins and a number of other jobs.  Ushers should be willing to arrive early and stay late for Mass.  To find out more about being an usher contact

Scrip Sellers: SCRIP is a fundraising program done by local businesses.  They sell gift cars to St. Mary's at a discounted rate, we sell the gift cards for face value and the parish receives the difference.  SCRIP is sold Wednesday nights at Faith Formation, after Mass, and during regular parish office hours.  We need volunteers to help us sell SCRIP, fill orders, and take inventory.  If you would like to help with our SCRIP our SCRIP program please contact Tammy Krueger @757-6555 ext. 205 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Parish - Get Involved

pro-life2Every human person is made in the image and likeness of God.  Made in His image gives dignity to each and every human person from the moment of conception to natural death.  Our Social Concerns committe leads our parish in trying to establish the Kingdom of Heaven here by respecting the laws God has given us.  The Social Concerns committee increases awareness of poverty, provides pro-life material, and runs various campaigns to help the less fortunate or non-profit pro-life organizations.  If you are interested in learning about this committee or want to get involved contact the parish office for meeting times and for members to contact.

We are always looking for voices to bring beauty and vitality to the Liturgy.  Patty Weis is our volunteer choir director and she would like to hear from you.  The choir typically practices once a week and sings for one of the weekend Masses.  It is possible that if our choir gets big enough, that it could cover two Masses.  Please contact Patty if you can help our worship of God through song.

If you play a musical insturment, be sure to let Patty know that.
